The Brief

Once part of the Best Western Hotel Chain, the Ripon Spa Hotel approached us to develop a new brand identity for both offline and online trading. The task was to pull the heritage and history of the spa whilst more importantly giving the hotel a push into modern times. As part of a joint consultancy project, rooms were revamped to give the perfect setting for photographs, staff productivity was measured in a way that allowed us to establish the best method to build a custom content management system (CMS) and a brief was presented that accommodated both existing customers and new target customers into the site map. The main task was to build a great looking website to show the historic hotel to the max.

The Strategy

We started the transition with The Ripon Spa on a consultancy level by advising first the brand, logo design and website development. We also looked at what incentives could be formulated, USP’s and why customer would choose the hotel. We also looked to increase the offering further by developing a bespoke CRM System to aid booking and transactions.

The Outcome

Results included increased bookings and event attendance over a six-month period, an increase in website enquiries since its launch and the development of a Loyalty Scheme initiative.

We helped The Ripon Spa Hotel gain prominent positions in Search Engine Optimisation obtaining top three rankings on many Ripon and North Yorkshire search terms. Building an email database allows us to use email marketing to target over 12,000 repeat customers who booked through the custom Website Development and CRM System Development.
